100TM has partnered with VacuumWood to support our mission's continued growth and maturation. 100TM will be able to take advantage of VacuumWood’s ability to build sustainable and energy-efficient vertical farms.
VacuumWood has demonstrable experience supporting sustainability and durability for projects like ours. Previously they supported other projects, including the Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE).
VacuumWood provided LUKE with a wood-built vertical farm for plant research purposes. The farm was built out of a patent-pending wood construction technology called VIS. This technology enables the building of modular, extremely moisture-resistant, sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.

100TM and VacuumWood agree to partner to collaborate on the upcoming lab “The Future of Communities: Sustainability and Resilience in 2050 and Beyond.” Our partnership will bring wood solutions to areas, including vertical farming and energy storage solutions for our future cities.
“Now the companies can start jointly developing sustainable cities of the future.”— Panu Miettinen
Both companies have an opportunity to learn from each other through the lab and determine how their technology can be leveraged in our first city and subsequent future cities.
Panu Miettinen, a co-founder of VacuumWood, added, “now the companies can start jointly developing sustainable cities of the future. We believe that in order to change things and build more sustainable cities, we must include all the stakeholders and take a holistic approach to this challenge.”
